devlog 26: The Storyteller's Festival!


Hi dear friends,

Drum roll, please…

Because in less than a week's time The Storyteller's Festival 2024 begins!


I'm very happy and honoured to be included in the lineup, and very excited to see everyone else's efforts.

The festival officially starts on 29 January at 10AM PST. Please check it out on Steam!

Onto the log :)

I've spent a lot of time sweating over TSL's overall plot and route progression. Planning is hard...! I am very much a write first, stitch together later kind of writer, and though tying down a more linear structure is very very helpful right now it's kicking my ass 🥲

All the other work that's to be done (sprites, CGs, bgs, etc) have been organised in a nice little overview to keep better track, and all CGs now have rough sketches with some of them already getting some linework in.

I've also made a list of achievements! It was something I wanted to do when I put TSL on Steam, but during the launch of Chapter 1 there simply wasn't enough time. I'll have to see how to incorporate it in the game so that you can unlock them whether you're on Steam or not, which I think will be really fun.

A couple of examples that will feature in Chapter 1;

✨Disaster Diplomat

✨Heartthrob

...and more ! I'll leave you to guess how to unlock them :)
